Learning to use OneNote
OneNote is available for PC and Mac (also, tablets and phones) but it looks different on each platform and works in a more limited way on a Mac. The Microsoft Video tutorials are useful in demonstrating the basic tasks and are relevant for all users. Specific tips for each version are provided in the expandable panels

Inserting files (documents) into your Portfolio
You can add word documents / PDFs / certificates / scans into OneNote pages.
IMPORTANT
Do not use the File Attachment option as it only links to the file on your computer. When you export pages or sections from OneNote for assessment the files will not appear.
Select INSERT > File Printout
Inserting Screen Captures
If you are viewing a document on your computer, you can capture an image of it and insert into your Portfolio.
Select INSERT > Screen Clipping
This allows you to highlight the part of the screen to be inserted as an image.
NOTE: The keyboard shortcut for Screen Clipping is the Windows key + S

Saving Notebooks
- You cannot save Notebooks directly onto your Mac.They can only be saved online.
- They are automatically saved into your UTAS OneDrive space.
